and the urges within, he'll do anything.
Lost! No matter who he prays to.
Lo, the crystal awaits!
Betwixt death and gold. Drug fuelled whispers foretold.
"Offer everything in blood and the crystal awakes!"
"Cut your palm and show your hand, with a shadow'd blade."
The crystal controls both god's and man. You control the path that's laid.
"There's no such thing as fate!"
"Drugs, sex, money, control: it's all within your grasp.
Clutch it tight in your left hand, speak the words and the choice is cast."
"Then let the world feel my wrath!"
Hesitating, he wondered aloud: "Do I want it all?"
He dragged the blade across his palm,
and the fool became a God.
Starting small, with suspicion, now he could not lose.
And his power grew, with every decision, no matter what he would choose:
The crystal would see it through!
He discovered a life he'd never known,
richest beyond comprehension.
Wars fought and won. Abuse unending.
This was the crystal's deception...
Crystal's light, though dim, illuminating. All.
Under the spell of it's wisdom he could never predict his fall.
The magic was a lie! This was his undoing.
'Twas neither blessed, nor cursed. Leaving him in ruin.
"Life. Mediocrity. Perhaps worse than before.
Had everything and lost it all... And still, you long for more!"
